Backpack Safety in the Sun
I was backpacking in Spain last year. I had a great time but underestimated the amount of sun that can get through during the day, especially if resting without any shelter.
I felt secure, as I had special
insurance for backpackers but I still took precautions and did some research when I returned to ensure I don't get roasted legs again.
Here are some tips I found:
- Take Aloe Vera with you as it is good for burns. It can come in jelly or natural leaf.
- Used tea bags can help any burn patches
- Milk can help to calm burns
- Vinegar is a known handy favourite to get rid of stinging and help skin

NHS recommended sunburn tips, not so natural but they're official.
I hope these tips help, I will certainly try them out.
